Dr Gautam Dua; Associate Professor and I/c Principal

Dr Gautam Dua is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. Dr Dua has completed two PhDs in management and commerce, respectively, and has been in academia since 2010. He teaches MBA, MMS, M.Sc, BBA, M.Com, B.Com, BA, and MA (Economics) students. Before joining academia, he worked for a Media and Talent acquisition company. He has conducted seminars on various trending topics and delivered keynote speeches at multiple FDPs and MDPs. He has also delivered live lectures on the Government Education TV Channel.
Dr Gautam is a recognized PhD supervisor in Commerce / Management at VNSGU-Surat, and his core areas of interest include brand management, covert advertising, green marketing, and higher education marketing. To his credit, he has multiple research papers published in various international and national journals, including Web of Science, Scopus, and UGC Care. Dr Dua has presented several research papers at International conferences in India and abroad. Dr Dua has won the Best Paper Award at international conferences at prestigious institutes like IIMA and DBIM. He has completed two research projects approved by IIMA under the CRMS grant, and the case center of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, has published one as a case study. He also serves as a panel member in the research advisory committee for PhD students at a private university. Dr Dua has authored and edited multiple books on management and marketing. In addition to academics, he also provides consultancy services to MSME companies through the institute. He is also rendering his services as an Associate Editor to a Journal. Moreover, he has been a member of the Board of Studies at Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Vanita Vishram Women's University, and Bhagwan Mahavir University, Surat. He has also been a member of the IRSSM-India Chapter.
During his graduation and post-graduation, he has bagged many trophies and medals in various management events, extempore, and entrepreneurship competitions. His hobbies include playing cricket & table tennis, traveling, and listening to good music. He has been awarded the "Nation Builder Award" by the Rotary Literacy Mission Club and the "Youth Icon Award" by Yuva Unstoppable NGO for his contribution to society.

Dr Krishna Shastri; Assistant Professor

Dr. Krishna has been teaching in higher education since year 2010. She has served at Ambaba Commerce college, Sabargam and Agarwal Vidya Vihar English Medium College, Vesu. She is a gold medallist (She received gold medals from the hands of respected Shri Narendra Modiji). She also has been teaching to the PG students at MRS department, VNSGU; MA department (Z. F. Wadia Women’s college and N. K. Jhota college of Commerce, Surat) and Library Science department, VNSGU. Apart from attending the National and International seminars in the subject of English, many papers written by her are published in the national and international journals. Being the PhD supervisor, she mentors four PhD students at department of English, VNSGU. While teaching English to the college students she also guides them to be better communicators in the corporate field. She also conducts many events on extracurricular activities and guides students in the university youth festival.

Lt. Jigar Chavda; Assistant Professor

Lt. Jigar Chawda has six years of experience as a physical education teacher in international schools. He has been serving AVV English Medium College since 2017. Mr. Jigar's specialization is volleyball. He was captain of the under-16 Gujarat volleyball team in 2003-04. He holds a special interest in freestyle swimming. Under his mentorship, several students have bagged medals at the university and national levels. Moreover, several students have played university Western Zone events under his mentorship. Mr. Jigar is an invitee referee and match official for Volleyball matches at many universities. He is currently pursuing a PhD at Patan University. Lt. Jigar has completed his ANO training at NCC, Kamptee (Nagpur), and is currently heading the NCC unit of AVV College. Further, Lt. Jigar has served as a Volleyball coach (women) and beach Volleyball for west-zone inter-university tournaments. He is also invited as an official for volleyball games at various universities.

Dr CA Pujan Kapadia; Assistant Professor

CA. Pujan has a total of 10 years of academic experience, comprising teaching professional courses such as CA, CS & CMA; postgraduate courses like MBA & MCOM; and undergraduate courses like B.Com and BBA. He had been associated with HDFC Bank as a Credit Manager for more than 2 years. He possesses 3 years of internship experience with one of the renowned chartered accountants’ firms in Surat, with his area of expertise in direct taxation and audit. He has been awarded Junior Research Fellowship by UGC in the subject of Commerce. He has an excellent academic record, which comprises of 9th rank in Surat in CA Final exams, a distinction in UG degree with 2nd rank in college & first class in master's degree. He is prone to extra-curricular activities and has won several competitions, viz., international Olympiad, elocution, group discussion, slogan writing, project presentation, drama & sports. Mr. Shaurya Shah has 6 years of Academic experience in teaching various undergraduate and Post Graduate courses. He is also a PG Faculty at SPB Commerce College and DRB Commerce College. Many papers written by him are published in the National and International Journals. He is a life member of Indian Accounting Association. Ms Shivangi Sethi; Assistant Professor

Starting her career as a private educator for six years teaching young minds then, she now has an overall teaching experience of more than five years at college-level teaching students of undergraduate courses like BCom and BBA. She has also taught varied subjects in the field of Accountancy and Commerce in SPB English Medium College of Commerce and Vanita Vishram Women’s College of Commerce as a teaching assistant and visiting faculty respectively. She has also acquired PG recognition in VNSGU and has been working as a PG teacher for over three years now at SPB English Medium College of Commerce teaching M.com students in the subject of Accountancy.
She is alumnus of SPB English Medium College of Commerce where she consecutively stood first in all the three years of graduation and stood second at post-graduation level. She has participated in number of National Conferences, National Faculty Development Programme, Workshops, Seminars and Webinars. She has a research paper publication to her credit.
Seeking passion from her profession, her soul finds peace in adding rhythm to words. She has written more than 50 Poems and other short writings posted on her Instagram handle – notso.poetic and also writes blogs under the name Not so Poetic ~ Shivangi Sethi (notsopoetic-shivangi.blogspot.com). Two of her poems got selected and have been published in two anthologies namely “Broken and Beautiful” and “Paper Planes” also available on amazon.
She is a core believer of the fact that Teaching is Learning and receives immense satisfaction when her content delivery meets the positive outcome of students. Her area of interest is Accountancy and Commerce. She also seeks pleasure in reading books, listening podcasts and good music.

He has been teaching since 2002 and has taught various Undergraduate and postgraduate level programs. He has taught economics subjects at the B.Com, B.A., B.B.A., M.B.A., C.F.A., M.A., and M.Com levels. He started his teaching career at M.S. University of Baroda, after that he taught in S.P. University-affiliated college, and at present he is associated with AVVEM College affiliated to V.N.S.G. University. He has presented various research papers in International, National, and Regional seminars and conferences. He has also attended different training programs conducted by the state government and national institutes. He has worked as an external evaluator and paper setter for various Universities. Dr Vikas also acts as the Co-ordinator of the MA-Economics (PG Centre) at AVV College.

She is a doctorate in Psychological Studies Of Young Adult Literature. She has Chaired the "First International Research Methodology Workshop" at the Department of English, Parul University. Vaishika Rajeshkumar Kadia is a highly educated and experienced individual with a range of degrees and qualifications. She has a B.Com. from V.N.S.G.U., a B.A. in Economics from the same university, and an M.A. in Economics from V.N.S.G.U. Vaishika has also completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Research Methodology and passed the GSET exam. She has a M.Phil. in Economics from V.N.S.G.U. and has over five years of experience teaching undergraduate courses, including B.Com.,She has also acquired PG recognition in VNSGU and has been working as a PG teacher for over 6 months, teaching PG students of Department of Commerce and Agarwal Vidya Vihar English Medium College in the subject of Economics. Prof. Bhargav R. Paghadal has been in the education field for 4 years, teaching Undergraduate and postgraduate students. During his career span, he taught Statistics, Business Administration, banking to UG students and Research Methodology to PG students. He has worked as an assistant professor at Rofel Arts and Commerce College Vapi from the year 2019. He has a vast knowledge of Stock Market, statistical Database, Banking and digital learning.
Through his career span, he has performed duty as a coordinator of the Online assessment exam centre, and coordinated State level CU-CET exam in his previous college. He has deep understanding of the computer world, Technology and graphics. He has conducted many academic events for students such as Quiz, Online Seminar, Creative Learning, PowerPoint etc.

Ms. Nikita Agarwal started her career as a Homeroom teacher at Fountainhead School in the year 2015. Then she started teaching college-level students of undergraduate and postgraduate courses like BBA, IMBA and MBA at Bhagwan Mahavir University. She has taught varied subjects in the field of Human Resources and Marketing. With 7+ years of teaching experience, she has taught students ranging from ages 10 to 25+, which makes her well aware of all levels of education. She has presented and published research papers in many national and international journals including UGC Care and has participated in Conferences, Faculty Development Programme, Workshops, Seminars and Webinars. Prof. Hetalgiri K. Mehta has been in the education field for 12 years, teaching Undergraduates students. He has worked as an I/c Principal and Assistant Professor at Vivekanand College for BBA, Surat from 2011 to 2023. He has vast knowledge of Finance, Stock Market, Banking and Economics.

Mr Varun Dhingra; Assistant Professor

He brings with him a rich and diverse professional experience of over two decades in academia as an Assistant Professor, specializing in MBA and Integrated MBA programmes at Bhagwan Mahavir College of Management (BMCM). His journey has evolved through the institution’s affiliations—from Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU) to Gujarat Technological University (GTU), and currently, as a Constituent College of Bhagwan Mahavir University (BMU). His long-standing association with BMCM reflects his commitment to academic excellence and institutional growth.
In addition to his academic experience, he holds two years of valuable industry exposure as a Financial Services Manager at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, where he handled the Bancassurance Channel. This industry background has helped him integrate practical insights into his teaching approach.
Over the years, he has taken on multiple leadership roles at BMCM, including In-Charge Director, Head of the MBA and iMBA departments, and Chairman of the Board of Studies for MBA, MCA, Integrated MBA, and Integrated MCA programmes. He has also served as a member of the Local Inspection Committee (LIC) for Gujarat Technological University, contributing to academic quality assurance across institutions.
He has taught a wide range of management subjects, including Consumer Behavior, Personal Financial Planning, Legal Aspects of Business, Business Communication, Marketing Management, Brand Management, Financial Accounting, Cost and Management Accounting, and Entrepreneurship. He has guided more than 1000 MBA students through projects such as SIP, CP, GCSR, and MP, focusing on applied learning and research.
Beyond academics, he has made significant contributions to student development and employability. As University-level Training and Placement Manager, guiding a team of 15 TPOs of the Constituent Colleges of the Universities. He has conducted numerous workshops and sessions for Diploma, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate students, focusing on soft skills, interview preparation, and industry readiness. He has also led the successful organization of 10 Mega Job Fairs conducted on an annual basis in collaboration with the Labour and Employment Office, Government of Gujarat, and served as the Organising Secretary for Gujarat’s first Online Mega Job Fair during the COVID-19 pandemic.
His active engagement with industry bodies such as SGCCI, CII, and DIC has strengthened academia-industry linkages, enabling guest lectures, internships, and collaborative projects. His efforts have continuously enriched the learning environment and enhanced opportunities for students. He is also a lifetime Member of ISTD, Surat Chapter.

Mr Trushang Tailor; Assistant Professor

Mr Trushang cleared his NET JRF in Commerce in 2020 and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. under the guidance of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. K. N. Chavda Sir. He completed his M.Com with a specialisation in Financial and Management Accounting and his B.Com with a focus on Taxation, both from S.P.B. English Medium College of Commerce. He has also pursued additional certifications, including What is Social? from Northwestern University, Illinois.
While academics remain his core strength, he also maintains an active creative portfolio, having written numerous poems and songs, as well as lyrics for films. He has collaborated with Bollywood singers such as Shaan and Nakash Aziz, and has recently worked with renowned Bollywood choreographer Remo D’Souza. Additionally, he has written short films and received recognition in music as part of a University Champion Team and a State-Level Winner Team in group song competitions under Sugam Sangeet. His active participation in writing and various cultural activities further reflects his well-rounded academic and creative profile.

Dr. Trupti Y. Vansiya has been serving as a College Librarian since 2009, demonstrating a sustained commitment to academic excellence, knowledge management, and library innovation. She possesses a strong academic foundation in Library and Information Science, having completed her B.L.I.Sc., M.L.I.Sc., and M.Phil. (First Division), and a Ph.D. from the Department of Library and Information Science at Veer Narmad South Gujarat University.
With over a decade of professional experience, Dr. Vansiya has made significant contributions to the academic and research ecosystem. She has authored and published numerous research papers in reputable national and international journals, and has contributed chapters to edited volumes and books. Her scholarly work reflects a deep engagement with contemporary issues in Library and Information Science. In addition, she has actively participated in and presented papers at various national and international seminars, conferences, and symposia, thereby contributing to academic discourse and professional networking.
Dr. Vansiya has consistently upgraded her academic and professional competencies by participating in a wide range of Workshops, Refresher Courses, Orientation Programmes, and Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs). These engagements have enabled her to stay aligned with evolving trends and technologies in the field.
Her core research interests encompass Library Development, Rural and Public Library Systems, Knowledge Organization (including Book Classification and Cataloguing), Library Automation, and the emerging paradigms of the Digital Library Ecosystem. She has a strong inclination toward integrating traditional library practices with modern digital tools and technologies.
Technologically proficient, Dr. Vansiya is well-versed in various word processing tools, spreadsheet applications, and library management systems. She has hands-on experience with the SOUL (Software for University Libraries) platform, widely used for library automation and management in academic institutions.
In her institutional role, she actively contributes to the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), playing a key role in maintaining and enhancing academic and administrative standards. She has also successfully completed a Minor Research Project funded by the University Grants Commission (UGC), reflecting her research capabilities and commitment to scholarly inquiry.
Dr. Vansiya has further extended her academic contributions through research supervision, successfully guiding Ph.D. students in Library and Information Science. Recognizing her expertise and academic leadership, she has been appointed as the Coordinator of Ph.D. Coursework in Library Science at Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, where she contributes to curriculum delivery, research mentoring, and academic administration at the doctoral level.
