NCC - National Cadet Corps

Agarwal Vidya Vihar English Medium College decided to start NCC with the permission of the 5 Gujarat Battalion in the year 2020. The main objective in starting NCC was to instill discipline in students and prepare them for the future so they can contribute to national services. We are the first college in the Surat area to get this NCC unit of 154 strength by the 5 Gujarat Battalion. Our unit is co-ed, with a 33% reservation for Girls.

Eligibility: First-year students can apply for NCC when the college opens admissions. The final admission is based on the physical test and interview conducted by the wing. The final decision for admission lies with the Wing officer.

Agarwal Vidya Vihar English Medium College initiated the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit to foster social responsibility, community engagement, and holistic development among students. The primary aim of starting NSS is to encourage students to actively participate in community service and nation-building activities, thereby nurturing leadership, empathy, and civic consciousness. The college takes pride in offering students a platform to contribute meaningfully to society through various outreach programs such as cleanliness drives, health awareness campaigns, rural development initiatives, and environmental conservation activities. The NSS unit (50 students) is inclusive and promotes equal opportunities for all students to participate.

Eligibility: First-year students can enroll in NSS at the time of admission. Selection is generally based on the student’s willingness to participate in social service activities and their commitment to regular involvement in NSS programs. The final selection is subject to approval by the NSS Program Officer.
